Dank Augusta in Cologne

Ordered the goose, picked up the roast goose, ate it the next day, a dream ... Great despite warming up.

In the middle of the Botanical Garden of Cologne, it is very nice to sit here in summer. Currently in lockdown, the team is also offering delicious food in glasses for home delivery. And new this year a goose to pick up. We tested that today and ordered a goose for 2 people: it comes with red cabbage, chestnuts, dumplings and dumplings, red wine and baked apples in the glass for dessert. Everything SUPER DELICIOUS! Top!

Very cool concept with the picnic basket, everything prepared in glasses and tasted great: D Corona measures were implemented very well and tables were constantly disinfected.

Cafe in the garden / park - delicious coffee on the terrace overlooking the beautiful vegetation in the surroundings. However, I think they are overdoing the Covid restrictions a bit. There is a waitress in the entrance, who checks to see if you can make it up and then disinfected your hands. No choice of table, we just got a menu with a contact card for covid along with the table number we had to find. When I walked in, I had a backpack with a cat that the waitress saw and said nothing. We were sitting on the side and I wanted the cat to leave the backpack for a moment and sit under the table / chair, the length of the leash is 1.5 m. She wasn't walking, she wasn't meowing - she was lying at her feet. People at other tables reacted as if some sweetie was sitting under their feet. Yet suddenly a guy flew out with a broom and ordered the cat to be immediately locked in the carrier. I showed that I have a short leash. I explained that a cat is not a dog and there will be no problem with impurities - it does not dirty, it does not kick. Unsuccessfully. Why did one staff member have no problem and the other one was unable to talk? Ordering nothing more, we drank our coffee quickly and left.

Great concept, salads and hearty snacks as well as delicious cakes and desserts in small preserving jars, plus coffee, tea and fancy sodas, etc. Everything served in baskets like at a picnic. Very consistent and still ok in terms of price ...

We recently went to the Wednesday BBQ again, this time under Corona conditions and indoors, as the weather unfortunately didn't cooperate. The food was then served inside. The salads were delicious again and the dips were aromatic and great combined. The BBQ vegetables as a small selection for vegetarians were a bit too smoky for me. I also think it's a great idea that everything was served separately in small glasses. The service was very friendly!

Very nice and attentive staff, a cozy garden restaurant with fine selected food and drinks (not cheap) in a wonderful setting and atmosphere. A visit is always worthwhile and very relaxed. Simply use the app to order - contactless, super fast and super comfortable :)

We were very lucky to be able to celebrate our wedding thanks to Augusta. The communication and the service are great! The staff is very friendly and attentive. All of our wishes were met in full. From the decoration to the drinks and food, everything was just perfect. The location offers a fantastic view of the botanical garden. Absolutely to be recommended, especially if you are looking for a location for the wedding. Thank you for the wonderful day !!

First impulse: such a beautiful garden restaurant is definitely expensive and too complicated for lunch with the family ... Correct: great food, nice staff, good concept with picnic baskets, easy to prepare the food, great selection of dishes ... go there and enjoy

We visit Cologne's Flora & Gartenlokal several times a year - THANKS TO AUGUSTA A nice place we like to visit when we are through with the visit of the flora. Cake & salad in a glass very tasty as well as recommended, as were the drinks. Bottled drinks exquisite & versatile, however, I find the prices overall very overpriced. The service was very friendly, unfortunately, but it always takes a long time to get your turn. The waiting time is 15 to 20 minutes from 5 people and not only since Corona. Far too long with two service staff. There would be 5 *; if the service would be faster, especially since everything is already prepared and ready and the prices would be adjusted to the usual craft despite top quality. Central location 5 * Service 3 * Price performance 3 * Nevertheless, we would love to come back.

Quit crowded cafe with beautiful view and tasty desserts!

The food was delicious and the atmosphere was pleasant. But after 30 minutes we were asked to go out to eat and play cards because there were other guests waiting. The tables around us were empty ...

You can order via app and get the food and drinks at the table or you can queue up and pick it up yourself after you have secured a table at the reception. I have rarely been served so progressively. Never in Cologne. The view is unique at every table in the middle of Cologne. Very calm and nice. Worth a visit.

The view from the garden bar is always a bit of a vacation. Since orders can now also be placed in the app, the waiting times in the (often very long) queue are finally eliminated. The apple crumble cake in a mason jar is just as delicious as the potato salad. However, I miss the organic ice cream of the past years. Now there is only popsicles left.

Beautiful little cafe to stop for drinks/snacks after an afternoon walk through the botanical gardens. Clean facilities are available. The place is a bit pricy, e.g. a Weinschorle (0,33l) for 7,80€. Ok considering that the park entrance is for free,yet good to know. They have an awesome concept to comply with Corona regulations-well done. Recommended.

Prices are overpriced! No sensible service. Unfortunately there is no "branded" ice cream but only small popsicles. You can enjoy the view very well, but you have to dig deep into your pocket. And 1 € extra per order because of Corona is ridiculous.

The botanical garden, in which the so-called flora and the garden restaurant DANK AUGUSTA are located, is worth a visit, even if part of the site is a construction site by 2022, on which new architecturally sophisticated greenhouses will be built. The garden restaurant has delicious, fresh dishes, some of which are filled in (wake-up) glasses, from salads and soups to delicious cakes such as American Cheese Pie. You order and collect your own food and drinks from a counter, at least now in Corona times a table is assigned, where you can choose whether it is in the sun or in the shade. The view is very beautiful, either to an arcade with water features, or to the large "front garden" of the Flora with a gigantic fountain, which was out of order today (possibly because of Corona?). Conclusion: We can recommend the place for a "pit stop"!

What a place to spend a sunny day with family and friends! The food and beverage program is one of a kind. Great selection of soups, salads and bowls. You can pick fresh dishes (served in glasses) and bottled drinks from the self-service station and enjoy it on the patio or the nice staff packs it in a bag to take it away in the park.

Very nice restaurant with a large terrace in the middle of the park. Buy food and drinks at the bar and then there is a small picnic basket and a package can be found. Reusable crockery etc is used, which is a big plus in my opinion. Good food and a rich selection of drinks.

If you are lucky with the weather its the best place for a picknic in Köln

Clearly labelled vegetarian and vegan food. Bit pricey, but it's all about the location.

Cool terrace but always packed on nice days and even self service is extremely slow!! Waiting in queue for over an hour for a piece of cake is no good way to spend a day at the Flora..
